Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Idaho Brief Formatter (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
Idaho Brief Formatter is a document-formatting utility that uses artificial intelligence to reformat and structure user-supplied text into a document that visually conforms to Idaho Appellate Rule 32. The Service is a formatting tool only. It is not a law firm, does not represent clients, and does not provide legal advice.
3. No Attorney-Client Relationship
Use of the Service does not create an attorney-client relationship between you and Idaho Brief Formatter or any of its operators. All output must be reviewed, revised, and signed by a licensed attorney before it is filed with any court.
4. Payment and Refunds
A one-time $15 fee is charged per brief download, processed via Stripe. Payment unlocks DOCX and PDF downloads for that single brief. Because output is generated on demand and delivered instantly, all sales are final. If a technical error prevents you from receiving a usable download, contact us and we will regenerate the brief or issue a refund at our discretion.
5. User Content
You retain all rights to text and documents you upload. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process that content solely to generate your formatted brief and to improve the Service. We do not sell your uploaded content to third parties. Uploaded briefs and records may be temporarily stored to enable the preview and download flow and are periodically purged.
6. AI Output Disclaimer
The Service uses large language models to reformat and, in some cases, expand user text. AI output may contain errors, misstatements, invented citations, or omissions. You are solely responsible for reviewing every word of every generated brief before filing it. Do not rely on the Service as a substitute for legal research or attorney judgment.
7. Prohibited Use
You may not use the Service (a) to engage in the unauthorized practice of law; (b) to submit content that infringes intellectual-property or privacy rights of others; (c) to circumvent the payment paywall; or (d) for any unlawful purpose.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Idaho Brief Formatter and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to lost cases, missed filing deadlines, sanctions, or attorney-fee awards. Total aggregate liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to use the Service in the twelve months preceding the claim.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Idaho, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Ada County, Idaho.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
